How the world came to the East End...
Museum in Docklands, at West India Quay, uncovers the vibrant history of London's port and docklands - from Roman times to the development of today's soaring skyscrapers. Against the backdrop of an historic sugar warehouse, the Museum traces the imports, exports, companies and communities that made London a thriving port city.
The Museum is located over five floors of a splendid late Georgian warehouse on West India Quay - literally in the shadow of the Canary Wharf district - and offers twelve major galleries, a children's gallery, education services, function suites, a restaurant and a shop.
Opening Hours
The Museum is closed on 24-26 December and 1 January, but otherwise open every day of the year.
